Description

Join us on an easy walk through the stunning natural setting of the Passo dei Salati to the historic research institute, founded in 1907, still active today and recently renovated as a museum. You will only need to cover a small elevation gain to discover the remarkable challenge of conducting high-altitude research at 2,901 meters above sea level.

Program:
9:00 AM – Meeting point at the Alagna lift ticket office
9:15 AM – Departure and ascent by cable car to Passo dei Salati
10:00 AM – Group departure, walk to the Mosso Institute and start of the guided visit Approximately
12:00 PM – Return to Passo dei Salati

Route:
Easy difficulty, suitable for the whole family
Short duration: about 20 minutes on foot with an elevation gain of 80 m

Hiking boots and mountain clothing with warm and waterproof layers are recommended.

For participants coming from Gressoney (Staffal):
Meet the guide directly at Passo dei Salati at 9:45 AM. Departure from Staffal is recommended no later than 9:15 AM.
Lift tickets may be purchased directly at the ticket office at a cost of 20 €.
Visit fee: €10, payable directly to the guide.
